Dixon A vs G

Well, after I fell in love with the Dixon sound and noticed that I could play the A with ease, I gambled and ordered a G, which I just got today. Even with my VERY small hands (that’s tiny fingers, small spread & limuted reach, the whole works), I can play the G with relative ease. There’s a bit of a stretch which I think will be soon gotten used to.

I never thought I’d be able to play anything below an A, so I’m excited. Is it possible that one day, some day, I can play a low D? Well, a girl can dream.

Anyway, if you want to go lower and have small hands, I recommend the Dixon G.

Kar,
How do you like the G vs. the A? Does one shine above the other or is one just bigger than the other?

My new Dixon G should be arriving from the Whistle Shop this Friday (along with a Generation tabor pipe [what was I thinking?])

Glad you like your new whistle Kar, and I still expect my A back! hehehe

Beth–The A is on its way!

As for the difference between the two, they are basically the same wonderful whistles, just one is lower than the other. The lower one seems to be a little more tempormental but that’s probably just my inexperience playing the lower whistles!
