I was looking at the Kerrywhistles site, and listening to the opening musical selection. it sounded for all the world like jazz to me. Was that a whistle playing it? Was that you Phil? Is this a dumb new whistler question?
It was Mike McGoldrick off his album Fused, which is, as you have noticed, very much a fusion of traditional music with other types of music, including jazz.

Chris was right,that was Mike M playing.If you like the jazzy sound you really should get a copy of “Fused”.
Please take a look at the music section on the Kerrywhistles site there are some great clips of music and I’m trying to up date as new CD’s come out.There is a new CD by Brendan Ring which features some great whistle playing to.
