When asked about the last eclipse
The lass had only one reply:
“To me it seemed the gods had fastened
Diamonds in a cloudy sky.”
And ever since, when daylight dimmed
A hopeful head she’d raise up high
But ne’er again on earth did she see
Diamonds in a cloudy sky.
Of course, one day she passed away
And she told her loved ones not to cry
The next eclipse, they’ll find her there,
A diamond in a cloudy sky.
Her name didn’t happen to be Lucy, by any chance?
I was wondering when Lucy’s name would come up.
