Details on Freeman-Tweaked whistles...

My whistle acquisition spree continues… I just ordered a Freeman Tweaked Waltons Mellow C & D set from Whistle and Drum.

I’m looking forward to getting this new acquisition, but, I just realized that I don’t know exactly what I’m getting. The Whistle and Drum web page is a little sketchy on the details. I mainly placed the order based on all the positive things I’ve read about Freeman tweaked whistles on here.


So, is a “Waltons Mellow C & D set” the same as the “Mellow Dog” that I’ve read about? Is it: a modified Waltons D body? Plus a Feadog C body, according to the W & D page.

It’s probably a Mellow Dog with a C body, which is a Walton’s Mello-D body and tweaked Feadóg head, and the Feadóg C body.

The Mello-D is a wide-bore body, so the Feadóg head is a C size.
