Need some help on the tune “Denis Murphy’s” played by Mikie Smyth on his CD - The Wild Keys
I want to learn it but am having difficult with my aging ears.
What key is he playing in?
Anyone have the ABC’s
Thanks much … Ed

I think he’s using a Bb whistle, if that’s what you meant
The ABC’s can be found here: http://www.thesession.org/tunes/display/159
On a Bb whistle the ABC would look something like this:
X: 1
T:Denis Murphy’s
M:12/8
L:1/8
R:slide
K:Bbmaj

Thanks very much for your replies.
I think you are right on about the B flat whistle.
I’m not sure the tune is slide. Seems as if I read some
where that it is a slow reel. There appears to be several tunes with the Name of “Denis Murphy’s”. which be confusing.
Thanks … Ed
Maybe it’s this one?

Thanks again to all. I think its finally coming to me by
putting it in my slow downer and picking it out by ear.
Really a nice tune.
Thanks for your help… Ed
