Hey, did anyone we know bid on this flute? Any guesses on whose flute it is, or when it was made, or where it’s from? And did the buyer get a bargain for $54 bucks?

Nice picture. I’m not sure if i’m supposed to play that thing or salute it. 
And for once, i’d like to see one flute auction on eBay that doesn’t start “wonderful flute or fife: i don’t know anything about this type of instrument but it appears to be quite old.”

Let’s see…a respectable hunk of the instrument is missing, there is a crack in another section, the seller knows virtually nothing about the piece of instrument…
I’d say the seller made a killing.
Same response here, Tyg. I’d say the buyer paid quite a price for kindling. If he or she is interested in more of the same, I have a woodshop with all sorts of scraps I’d be glad to sell.
