Dawning of the Day on 2 whistles - ABC-ish

I wanted to ease into this two whistle trick. So I worked out both hands for Dawning of the Day, an easy melody, and I’ll post it for anyone who’s interested. I don’t know the rhythm part of ABC notation, so I have only the letters of the notes. For that reason, I suggest that only those people who already know the melody try to use this notation of mine.

Take two whistles. The one for your left hand remains normal and you play with all fingers (F# done with little finger, through B) on left hand. On the secon whistle, to be played with your right hand, tape over the top three finger holes. Play the bottom of this whistle just as you would if your other hand were covering the top holes.

This notation is ACTUAL notes produced, so that means, for the right hand (R), F# is played with only your index finger, E is played with your index and middle finger, etc.

For the left and right hands, notes are one to one. Feel free to ornament at will.

(L) F# G A A G A G A A F# A B A F# A G F# G F#
(R) D E F# F# E F#E F# F# D F# G F# D F# E D E D

(L) A B B A B B A B A G F# A A F# B A G
(R) F# G G F# F# d F# G F# E D F# F# D d F# E

(L) A B B A B B A B A G F# A A F# B A G
(R) F# G G F# F# d F# G F# E D F# F# D d F# E

(L) F# G A A G A G A A F# A B A F# A G F# G F#
(R) D E F# F# E F#E F# F# D F# G F# D F# E D E D

I hope this makes sense. Feel free to ask any questions. I think it’s a nice harmony.

Argghh! I formatted it so the lines of notes matched up note for note, but the board reformatted with only one space between letters. Hmph.

You can use the {code} tag to work around that like this:

{Code}
A B CD …
DFED FAG …
{/Code}

use square brackets instead of the {} to make it display like this:

A      B  CD  ....
DFED FAG    ....

Thanks, Bloomfield…I may edit that tomorrow if I feel up to it.
