I stumbled onto this forum yesterday…how exciting.
I live in São Paulo, Brazil currently and have begun a search
to find Irish pipers in the area. I have netted one in São Paulo
and one in Rio De Janeiro thus far. I have met neither, but
Terry Moylan help me procure their names and contact info.
I am from Nashville, TN and noticed none other than the good
doctor Glands hanging around this forum. Another great
surprise because for years he has been my teacher and mentor.
Lewis, the reed works as well as ever and surprisingly in all climates!
(I play a 1997 B.C. Childress first set - been playing a couple of years..)
If anyone knows of events in Brazil or piping contacts in São Paulo
I would be very happy to receive your responses/tips.
A city of 18 million this is; a handful of pipers there may be…
Don’t believe everything you read within these electronic pageless pages…unless, of course, it was written by me, of course, and perhaps a few other notables as well, of course, …HA!
Keep playing every single day. Fair play to ye for seeking out pipers in Brazil.
Take good care of that lovely reed! If you have any problems with it then ship it (including chanter) to me for exam and tweaking.
I was out on vacation when you attempted to get together one last time. Sorry we missed. I was surprised that you left for Brazil. Was it a job opportunity? Are you starring in or producing movies? Or, was it those Brazilian women? Whatever…have fun and be safe.
Hey Davis,
Didn’t we meet at Lewis’ last year? And didn’t you take a couple of us Knoxville, TN boyos out to a local watering hole , for dinner I mean?
Good to hear from you. Play every day. (The pipes too. )
