Danny Boy

This was actually attributed to General US Grant, who was famously tone-deaf.

Lincoln, on the other hand, was self-depricating about his dancing ability.
As a young man he was approached by an attractive young lady at a dance, who came up to him and said “Mr Lincoln, I would like to dance with you in the worst way.”
When the dance was over Lincoln told her “You got your wish. I did dance in the worst way.”

But back to Danny Boy, this is my favourite performance of that song:

Gotta admit the musical spud is compelling, but I prefer this one:

Oh boy! Oh Boy!

Doc

That brought a tear to my eye. Memories.

oh god. no more

Um … not what I understood - so I wiki’d it. Wiki says it’s a British song written to mock Americans. Now used patriotically by Americans. Go figure.

Surely not!!! Shock, horror, how could such a thing be?

:boggle: :astonished: :stuck_out_tongue: :poke: :smiling_imp:  :tomato: :waah:

Well, if they haven’t worked it out yet…

Ironic, really…

Tee hee!
