D whistle with C hole.

Somewhere in the Scotch Mists of Hogmany I heard a comment about somebody making a D whistle with an extra hole so Middle C could be played on it. Anybody heard of such a whistle please?

I made one myself using 1/2 inch brass tubing and a fipple from a generation D whistle

Chris Abell also makes his whistles with a C natural thumb hole if you want. However, call me a purist, but in my book that makes them recorders.

Paul Hayward also makes a D whistle with an extra bottom hole for C.
