Jerry, first I am very proud that the worlds only full time whistler tweaker
is seeking me to share my knowdgle. A pipe strecher is just about what you had set up with your truck. But insted of a truck we used six ton chain blocks and icreased its pulling capicty about 40% by having three men pull on the chain at the same time. It is best to wear gloves, goggles, and helmet when practicing this procedure. For moving holes find a pub that carpenters hang out in and buy one of them a round and when he buys you a round, gain his confidence by listening to his life storey, which at any time he may start over again. It should take about 90 minutes for you both to become life time pub buds. Then ask him for his expertise on cutting boards twice and there still being to short. You will find that the princlpe here is very aplicable to moving holes.

Tommy, thanks for clearing that up for us. My dad ( a former tool & die maker) always swore they used sky hooks to hold the six ton chain blocks in place. No longer able to confirm this with him any more, so the clarity you bring to this dilemma is much appreciated.

I loosened the mouthpiece on the Mellow D, and pulled it to make the whistle longer, it is now pretty close to being in tune with my other whistle. Thanks for the tips. Luckily I did not have to resort to removing or stretching the holes :boggle:

Sky hooks can be a little costley for whistle work. A good stout tree should
hold the weight. I contaced a friend of mine who made containers for holding rivet holes. He said if there is enough interest he could down size them for holding tone holes. Bill can be contacted through your search engin by entering specialty containers.
