Any other Southern California C&Fers planning to be there? I’m hoping to go up for Saturday afternoon / evening and Sunday.
Wish I could, too short a notice for me to make the plans to be there. Any other ones coming up soon in socal?
Now ain’t that cool!
There’s a good chance I can free up some time and go. ![]()
No one else? Only Daniel (maybe) and me? We whistlers are going to have to play extra loud and shrill to compete with all those fluters from the flute forum.
Sunday is on for me, but if we are all there, who’s going to cover at the Auld Dubliner??
Hey Steamwalker- nice avatar

Thanks. ![]()
Great, Fel. I think the Auld Dubliner session is pretty much canceled this week, since we’ll all be away celebrating the summer sun with strange pagan music rites. ![]()
Mayhaps I can drive up on one of the days, but no promises. Money’s pretty tight at the moment.
Ack!
I’ve been out of town most of this month. I have to catch up on the basics like laundry.
I’ll not be making it.
It was good to see and meet a few chiffers there: Aanvil, cadancer, eskin, Jon C., Patrick D’Arcy. Hope I didn’t miss anyone. Thanks all for the nice tunes and good craic!
It was great meeting you too! “Your the man!”
I unfortunately had to be down in Vista at the Scottish Games. Then, as if having two celtic-ish event the same weekend wasn’t enough, the Irish Fair in Orange County was that weekend too! Couldn’t the organisers spread things out a bit?
No, you da man! ![]()
I guess moving the Solstice Festival from solstice weekend would seem strange. Anyway, I suspect that the target audiences are fairly different. American Old Time music is a big part of Solstice, and the Irish part is session-oriented ITM. Maybe next year, eh?
