So imagine my surprise and sense of creeping dread when, yesterday, while out shopping with a friend, we came across a shop owned by the CRYSTAL PEOPLE! AACK! Luckily, i noticed the name of the store (big bold lettering, proclaiming: “The Crystal People”!) and I was able to catch my friend as she was about to cheerfully waltz right into their clutches!
The store is in the small town of Sebastapol, here in northern California’s Wine Country. I shudder to think how bold they’ve become…

Sebastopol is home to a major Celtic music festival. Perhaps the festival is a nefarious CP attempt to lure as many whistle players/aficionados as possible to their homebase?

Yes, april fool’s… i had transferred when we originally came over from the old board, but i forgot my password… so when i got access to a 'puter again, i had to re-join. ugh! anyway, neat coinkydink that it happened to be 4/1!! LOL
i think i WILL get a pic of that store… it’s not terribly impressive, but i think that may be part of the whole innocuous disguise… ‘really, we don’t mean any harm…<psst-- put away the icepick, harold!!>, come on in!’
