Thanks for that Markus - I’m also looking forward to being inspired by people who’s playing I admire. I’ve ben to workshops by Niall Keegan and Mike McGoldrick over the last year and gained a huge amount from both. Just got to put my insecurities back in their box!
neilC, I think the weekend will definitely be of great benefit for you. The tutors are likely to give us fairly different perspective to flute playing than Niall and Mike would. (Though as regards to Mr. McGoldrick’s teaching I can only speculate based on his style of playing - Niall’ s teaching I’m at the moment getting week by week more familiar with.
)

Once again, another keyboard ruined. Thanks, Harry.
Have fun! Oh, and Other 28 … be nice to kenny. He’s no slouch himself.
After many trials and tribulations the Cruinniú na bhFliúit website is finally live at:

and will be updated with any developments. Have a look and see what’s happened since we first announced.

Great indeed - though this thread has missed the 2008 Meeting entirely!
yep you’re right a hiccup sorry. there is a thread about the 2008 meeting somewhere here
yes, a little confusing. This year’s event is 7-11 April 2010
whos going? this looks like a fun holiday!
some year i would love to get to the cruinniú , wall to wall flute tunes , nice people , skull a few pints in the local
can’t go this year as i have a prior engagement . playing for the Queen of Heaven , at Her annual gig in Lourdes .
also hope to get the cure , again .
This whole thing is intensely annoying to me personally.
Having spent some years living less than an hour’s drive from Ballyvourney (and I did attend a couple of workshops there) I left at the end of 2005 for Sydney (hard to get much further). Then they have the idea to start this meeting!
It must be great - good luck to you all!
