Cruinniú na bhFliúit - The Flute Meeting 2014

We’ve just posted the dates and basic outline of this year’s flutemeeting over on the Flutemeet website.[ http://www.flutemeet.org/Flutemeet/Welcome.html ]
Basically 24th to 26th April, and teachers this year will be Conal and myself, Tommy Fitzharris, Harry Bradley, and Michael Clarkson.
We’re not accepting registrations until the 21st, and we’ll have a full program of events available shortly after that.
All the Best
Hammy

I Hope to be there again Hammy !

Hope that it’ll be affordable! It’s nearly a dream for me

I’ll be there

Duly noted, Hammy - looking good, once again. I’ll pass the news on around the Scottish flute community, and hope to see you all again in April. All the best, Kenny.
PS - and if anyone reads this and is wondering about whether or not to go, I thoroughly recommend it.

Would be lovely to see everyone for the annual festivity but have to prioritise the Easter holiday for family this time. You’re all welcome to Kinvara for the Cuckoo Fleadh the bank holiday weekend after (but I’ve only the one spare bed!). Give my regards to Ballyvourney, will be great as always.

I’m IN!
Back to Cruinniú na bhFliúit after 4 years… I know it will be AMAZING!!! Can’t wait!!

Hup!

Little anticipation of the meeting:
here’s Conal talking about his book, An Fheadog Mhor, on source.pipers.ie at Notes & Narratives - http://source.pipers.ie/Search/SearchResult.aspx?searchTerm=Conal+Ó+Gráda&startRowIndex=0&pageSize=12&mediaId=24854
an overview on critical listening.
Conal is a brilliant teacher!
Super cool! ;- )

That was lovely! I had the good fortune to attend last year, and that’s a great representation of what to expect from Conal. What impressed me most was watching him pull tunes from his head and scribe the abc onto a whiteboard faster than I can write my own name.

I think he’s an engineer by trade, and it shows. Fine fellow. And the Meeting is a great achievement by Hammy. Go if you possibly can!

Looking very much forward to it myself and as several others have said, don’t think about it, book, it’s well worth it! Pity Mark you can’t make it, hope to see many of you I’ve met over the last years again!
Dagmar

Flights are booked so see you in april Dagmar.

You never know, can’t book this year but might call in for the craic one evening if the opportunity arises

I can actually make it this year, booked a few days ago  It will be my first time, after two or three years wanting to go and not being able to.

Complete ( almost) program for Cruinniú 2014 now posted on the website…
Hammy

Less than 1 week to go… packing stuff, preparing flutes…
cannot wait…

finding then putting in a box (or boxes if more than one) …

you can tell me next week about the steps I’m missing …

Don’t forget the box ! Be seeing you .

Will be great to see you again, Kenny! I cannot find the right box for to keep two flute at time, so I adapt one for the occasion, and it looks nice! ;- )
Waiting for some great Amazing music!

It was a great Cruinniú na bhFliúit again, great classes, sessions and concerts !
