As I’ve mentioned, I’m interested in accumulating as many different ways to make music as I can do comfortably. When I work myself out of the financial bind I’m going through, I’ll definitely get one or two of them recorder critters.
I’m less intimidated than I was, by the fingering complexities compared to a whistle, thanks to encouragement from folks here, so I’ll most likely go for an Aulos A703B Soprano for starters. I’ve read a review by some serious musicians, and for $11.50 it sounds like a remarkably good instrument. There’s also an alto version for $25.50.
