MDT? I looked at Terry’s website and couldn’t find anything that could be construed as a MDT.
Minimal Distribution Tennon essentially he puts the cork on the female end of the head joint instead of the male to minimise intonation issues cause by moving a regular tennon, like a tuning slide only cheaper.

MDT is Minimum Disruption Tennon! McGee puts the cork inside the socket of the head. Then the tennon is bare and of minimum diameter. Ergo, less disruption of the sound waves when pulled out.

EDIT: At least one of the floots has a “cutaway” listed. What is that? On the “embouchre”?
Just got one from Grey Larson about three weeks ago in AB. Couldn’t be more pleased. I was going to get one with a tuning slide but Grey was temporarily out of stock, lucky for me as now I have money left for other goodies (hmmm, maybe one of Doc’s Desi Seerys).
