CP: Scheky's Set

I thought I would use my monthly commercial post to show you how Richard’s purpleheart C,D set is coming along. It still needs some more tung oil, but it’s a nice sunny day here, so I took some pictures of it.

Here it is in its case: 6 inches by 4.5 inches by 1 inch, a nice fit for a shirt or jacket pocket:

Also at the oiling stage, I have an osage D, still unspoken-for:

Thanks for looking.

David

I’m drooling…

How did that Catsup commercial go? An-ti-ci-pation…

I thought that this was going to be three tunes that sound well together.

I thought it was Antici…pation from Rocky Horror

Great lookin whistles though…have fun!

Must… resist… temp…taaaaaa…tion…

resistance is futile

Gave in to temptation. Osage is now ‘spoken for’!

Those certainly are beautiful… I was considering a Burke or a Busman as a future purchase for myself… now I have to consider the O’Brien’s too?

Robert

Robert,

You used the term “OR” (“Burke or a Busman”), it should be “AND” – one of each (or more) is required to hang out around here, I think!

My two cents…

I have a Rover D in Blackwood - best whistle I’ve ever loved! In fact, I did a blind sound test with my harmonically-impaired wife (I still love her a LOT after 31 years!) and the O’Brien won (against a Burke DAN). Wasn’t much of a test, I know, as I was just trying to decide which one to play at Mass that day…

Pat

That is precisely the model I was drawn to… looks lovely.
