CP - Sassafrass Whistle Rolls - impending changes

It seems that something I had dreamed of in the beginning of this venture is finally starting to come true… of course, it’s only after I’d decided it wasn’t going to happen, and had relaxed a lot and had life distract me (willingly at times, but forcefully at others). I am now receiving orders at such a rate that I have to alter my way of doing business … mainly only involving an attitude adjustment on my own part, though space and time are factors. I can no longer treat this as a part-time, ‘when I can get to it’ sort of thing.

I will be entering full-time, or at least nearly so, production in the very near future. I will still be making the bags myself, possibly with some help from my youngest daughter. I will not be mass-producing run of the mill stuff… each case is a work of my own heart and hands, and particularly the custom cases that match my work to the client’s individual needs.

I will be finishing up the current case load at the current price structure. Orders received by the 30th of September, 2006 will also be priced at the current prices… those ordered after the end of this month will see a fairly significant price increase. You will see evidence of this on the website soon.

The current waiting period already reaches into December, and I don’t expect that will change markedly, even with the stepped up production. Orders will be added to the queue as they come in, and estimated delivery times will continue to be 6-8 weeks.

One thing that will not change is that my family and close friends will still take precedence over my work, when illness and genuine need sometimes intrude into the best laid plans… I just must narrow my availability and up the level of need that distracts me.

I am pleasantly surprised that this has grown so, and want to especially thank all my friends here at Chiff and Fipple for your interest, support, suggestions, and orders.

You are a great bunch of folks!!

But you knew that.

Best of luck and continued success Annie! It has been a pleasure dealing with you.

Philo

Congrats on your success!

 Congratulations Annie!

Success can be very disruptive, be careful out there!

Thanks guys! But don’t let me fool you… having to buckle down and work more doesn’t indicate that I’m about to get rich and be able to buy all those whistles I want. It just means that folks won’t be waiting as long as they have had to up to now, and my family and friends will get the opportunity to be a bit more independent.

I’m really just moving from a ‘business like hobby’ to a full fledged business mindset.

Go for it, Annie. You create works of art…
Best.
