I hope everyone has got their message to Santa and he brings what you want. The Fort Myers News-Press has given me a taste of what the elves must be going through this time of year. They published a story on my whistle making last Sunday and the order e-mails and phone calls have been coming in. One guy even found where I live and just showed up in the driveway! It’s all good though. Munch all you want, I’ll make more!
Here’s the on-line story. It’s missing the insert magazine cover shot of my whistles in one of my racks, but otherwise it’s what was in the paper.
That article was just awesome! Congrats! Hope you get lots of business from it! Loved the touch of those two songs so people could listen! I have a question though..what is the song after “The Road to Lisovarna(sp?)”. You guys rock!
Merry Christmas!
Nancy
PS: I can’t wait to see if Santa brought me a walk about!!! I’m going to knit a case for it with a long strap to hang around my neck.
Hi Carey, I just received my Parks Walkabout and I am loving it. It hath exceeded me eggspectations. It plays so easily and clearly and I love the tone and volume ring. I can practice without alienating my family. It has improved my playing. It’s a winner!
If at any time you decide to make a Bb whistle, I’ll be in for another one (or even a full set of Every Whistles) - the Walkabout D I own is one of my best whistles (the tone ring is an additional feature that makes it even more worthwhile to carry along).
Hi folks, thanks so much for the kind words! Sorry to have been absent, but yes, the article did open the flood gates. I’ve been focusing on getting everyone’s orders out in time for Christmas and haven’t even looked at C&F since I made that first post here. Whew! I think I’ll get them all in the mail today.
As for Bb and other keys, I have been collecting pipe in other diameters for the time when things settle down enough to do some R&D. I hope it’s not long before I have a Bb. My singer hopes so too! Watch this space…
It has improved my playing. It’s a winner!
