CP: Jubilee Instruments News

A new item, known as the “Meti Flute”. It is the crossroads between Tinwhistle and a Native American Style Flute.
Available in High-C and High-D Major scales. Available in plain or burnt Cedar and Fire-stripped Douglas Fir.

Low Whistles of this style to come soon.

Plans for the Low-D Chromatic Whistle will be available after the first of the year. Plans will include photos, drawings, step-by-step instructions and where to get parts.

A new Chromatic Ambassador Whistle (Fall 2006 Model) will go out at that time as well. If you want to get on the tryout list, please send me an email.

The MetiFlute looks good, Dan. I have a double barreled NA style flute made for my by a friend. One barrel is a drone, and the other is tuned diatonically like a whistle. I didn’t think it would work, but it actually plays both octaves just fine. Good luck with your new goodies.

Paul,

Thank you, I have made double wood flutes/whistles as well. They’re fun.

BTW - I have a four piece Bocote whistle I want to show you.

Just curious Dan, does your new Meti Flute play the second octave as the

traditional whistle does?

Thank you.

-James

A Stor Mo Chroi

Yes, it’s a narrow bore design and even plays some notes in the third octave.
