Just like the title says. I’m looking to get into northumbrian smallpipes, but I can’t afford a $2,500 set. Can someone suggest a decent maker in the $1,500 range?
John Liestman makes sets occassionally but doesn’t take orders per se.
He’s a fine fellow and a well-respected maker. I don’t know what he charges for his own sets but he may be able to hook you up with a good-playing set in your price range one way or another.
Worth asking him anyway.
