Actually, the standard ALbas’ tuning slides do NOT wobble when pulled out and no teflon is applied; the tone just becomes more airy. Also, I am in no way suggesting that you stick your Albas up your Dreadnoughts…

I never saw the original post, but I second that. I have an Alba SE that works just fine with or without the TFE tape. I replaced the tape with beeswax, anyhow. I just like it better.
And the Alba SE is one great whistle!
