Hello everybody! I am selling my Copley delrin concert D flute with silver slides and hard case. It is in perfect condition! I played on it just for 3 months. The price of it is 350$ + shipping (near 30$). You can phone me by skype, see and listen to it. My profile is bright-serega. Also I can send some of my flute pics, if somebody wants.
Also I can exchange my flute to scottish smallpipes (I need concert D)+ my money in addition.
When someone with a Russian email address joins C & F one day and immediately posts a flute sale at a greatly reduced price (Dave Copley’s catalog price for a delrin flute with silver slide is $750), without a some further history or personal recommendation, I would be suspicious about the sale. Sergey Stukov could be a world-famous flute virtuoso with a solid reputation, for all I know, but I would like to be convinced of that before proceeding with the purchase.
looks like the OP joined eleven months ago to me ![]()
and I think he gets extra credit for picking “with silver slides”
I’d forgive the plural ![]()
Yeah, I guess I’m still back in 2011 in my thinking. Sorry about that. I’m guessing that Sergey really meant to say “with silver rings” and not “with silver slides”, and that would make more sense, English not being his first language. If I tried to sell something by advertising it in Russian, I’m afraid it wouldn’t get done.
I’ve no idea if 'e meant rings or slide ![]()
It did cause me to check Dave’s site and find out that there is a w/slide option.
What I need is a delrin head joint with the other embouchure cut.
(I’ve a keyless, ringless delrin of Dave’s that I seem to be spending most of my playing time on)
From the “Flute Options” section on the Copley web site, “Different embouchure shape (standard is elliptical for wood flutes, squared ellipse for Delrin)—no charge.” Bet you could get a new head joint with the embouchure of choice for your existing instrument…
Best wishes.
Steve
yeah, but I’d have to start a conversation with Dave…
this would put me firmly on the slippery slope (pun intended)
next thing ya know I’d be in it for a 6key delrin…
I am attempting to stay on the precipice for a bit longer as I am enjoying the view
'sides at my age I’ve learned that fantasy is usually much better’n reality
Sorry men, I made mistake. Yeah, The flute with silver rings, not slides. And my English knowlegde not so cool. I’m not a professional player, I’m a beginner. It is my hobby. I’m a bagpiper, not the flutist.
This flute i really bought from this site http://shop.irishflutestore.com/ from Patrick P. Jones. You can write there and check it by asking: Is Really Sergey Strukov bought Copley irish flute or not?
Thanks for understanding.
Denny, I think I enjoyed that post as much as any I have read on this forum. I’m not talking to Dave either. I am hanging ten over the edge of the precipice too.
Feadoggie
thank yew ![]()
But I am (with a custom D keyless here, Eb body on the way and discussion about keys commencing)…
Also (@Sergey), I’d guessed rings (not slides) and hope someone buys that excellent flute! ![]()
Sold.
