Copeland "A" ended (Seery ending soon)

A Copeland “A” on Ebay? Currently at less than $10. Found it while surfing for sneakers and got sidetracked…

holy cow! how cheap is THAT?
Dang, how do you join that ebay thingy, i’ve never bought anything there b4..

there must b something fishy going on…it can’t b right..

Remember, this person has 6 days to get that price up and if something is worth it, it’ll probably reach the going price at least.

And sometimes some poor sap will bid more than the going price just because of having the “competitive” spirit.

Or maybe they absolutely have no other way of getting the item and it’s worth it to them to pay more.

Either way, I like to watch exciting auctions and was hoping this might be one! LOL I live vicariously through others, even complete strangers!

K

Well, I bid on it and was outbid almost instantly…almost. There was a few short seconds there when I was “The highest bidder”! LOL

I have a feeling that is how this auction is going to go.

K

ooh now I’m the highest bidder. Wonder how many seconds I will get

Probably someone had already made a higher maximum bid than yours, and the automatic incremental bid thingie kicked in.

Well, it was a different person than the first and only bidder…so I think they actually came in and bid after me, probably was in the process of bidding same time as me! LOL

I think that SOMEBODY was Ava!

LOL

Skywatcher is winning now! Goooo Skywatcher!!!

I just love auctions.

K

Everyone that’s bid on it, just about, has these by their names:

I usually don’t see them too often, and then to find almost every whistle bidder having them seems extraordinary to me.

What does that say about us? LOL

K

The same person has another whistle for sale, too…a Seery?

16 bids now…and at $56. Six days and 8 hours to go.

This really oughta be fun to watch!

Well, it’s my definition of fun, anyway!

K

I suppose the bidding won’t slow down until the price reaches $600 and three days left in the auction… typical of eBay.

HEY, here’s a hint…
WAIT until the last day to start bidding.

That’s what I always do…except today I bid $10.55…LOL!!! I did it mostly for the fun of it.

But if it’s something I want and it hasn’t gone over what I have set in my mind that I want to pay (I’m very disciplined), then I bid within the last few minutes. I don’t believe it’s sniping, because I won’t go higher and if somebody is mad that I outbid them, they should have put their highest price in in the very first place. It’s not my problem that I don’t give them time to hem and haw over what I’ve done!

Yeah, I put a bid on it, and jumped the damned price from $15 to $51 immediately! Grrrr… It’ll probably go for WAAAYYY more than I can afford.

Aodhan

I know! I knew when I bid this morning that there was no way I’d win. But it was fun to be the second person to bid on it!

I was outbid in about 4 minutes!

Yeah, but I WANT this whistle!!! WHoA has started to grip me hard, lately!

Anyone notice, though that he is advertising his copeland as a “Low” whistle? I thought Copeland only made lows in D, G and F?

Not my approach. When I see the item, I bid what I’m willing to spend. Then I don’t have to decide at the last minute. If someone outbids me (as they already have on the Seery) they obviously had more money to spend. It isn’t a contest to see who gets the item; it’s a potential means of purchasing a product. If I don’t get to purchase it, then, oh well.

Gleep! (Heh…another obscure reference for old cartoon enthusiasts…)

I think that was me, Erik.

Aodhan

Why would you do that, Aodhan? And I was going to set you up with a nice girl. Deals off. ;(

Erik,
There are a gazillion of eBay bidders out there. Be patient…
Placing a fair bid in the beginning (to get it over with) will surely guarantee that someone will outbid you.
