Well, it was a different person than the first and only bidder…so I think they actually came in and bid after me, probably was in the process of bidding same time as me! LOL
That’s what I always do…except today I bid $10.55…LOL!!! I did it mostly for the fun of it.
But if it’s something I want and it hasn’t gone over what I have set in my mind that I want to pay (I’m very disciplined), then I bid within the last few minutes. I don’t believe it’s sniping, because I won’t go higher and if somebody is mad that I outbid them, they should have put their highest price in in the very first place. It’s not my problem that I don’t give them time to hem and haw over what I’ve done!

I know! I knew when I bid this morning that there was no way I’d win. But it was fun to be the second person to bid on it!
I was outbid in about 4 minutes!

Yeah, but I WANT this whistle!!! WHoA has started to grip me hard, lately!
Anyone notice, though that he is advertising his copeland as a “Low” whistle? I thought Copeland only made lows in D, G and F?

I suppose the bidding won’t slow down until the price reaches $600 and three days left in the auction… typical of eBay.
HEY, here’s a hint…
WAIT until the last day to start bidding.
Not my approach. When I see the item, I bid what I’m willing to spend. Then I don’t have to decide at the last minute. If someone outbids me (as they already have on the Seery) they obviously had more money to spend. It isn’t a contest to see who gets the item; it’s a potential means of purchasing a product. If I don’t get to purchase it, then, oh well.

Gleep! (Heh…another obscure reference for old cartoon enthusiasts…)
Erik,
There are a gazillion of eBay bidders out there. Be patient…
Placing a fair bid in the beginning (to get it over with) will surely guarantee that someone will outbid you.
