This is for the computer gurus,
A friend installed Cool Edit onto my computer and there are no instructions with it other than the tutorial. I’m not very bright when it comes to computers, so I cannot figure out if/how to get music into the program from CD’s or from Real Player so it can then be slowed down. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to find documentation there. Is it Cool Edit Pro, or Cool Edit 2000? In any case, the folks at Syntrillium are awesome at support. I’ve used Cool Edit 2000 at my home studio for a couple of years now, and we use Cool Edit Pro at the radio station. Great program!
