condolences for miners familes

This tragedy was escalated by some mistakes in communication.
If someone from C&F will put something togeather to express our condolences? I am in.

It’s not my intention to disrail your thread, Tommy, but I can’t help but think of all the others who died this past week:

"More than 100 Iraqis and 11 U.S. soldiers were killed in a series of bombings during this time. Twelve miners died following an explosion in a West Virginia coal mine. Meanwhile, more than 70 people died when an old building collapsed in Saudi Arabia. " - Salt Lake Tribune

My thoughts go out to all their families.

Susan

I do understand what you are saying. There is always something similar going on some where. With hightech communication now we know sometimes as it is happening. This one struck me with the misinformation given to the waiting familes. Hearing and seeing this type of news can become desensitizing. Coal has been mined for several hundred years, and there are still mishaps that take place that could be prevented.

Its looks like I am it that group that is always calling asking for money to help someone someplace. Example, At least one time a year the police officers association calls asking for money to put in a fund for familes of fallen officers. If any of us gave money at every opportunity to help some where there would be nothing left. rambling on…

Do not concern about derail. I am not sure of the train I was trying to ride.
