concertinaweekend-Mrs Crotty

Spent most of the past three days in Kilrush, I’ll save you the details but during a session in the backroom of Crotty’s which involved fiddlers Eamonn McGvney, John Kelly, Sean Mac, Michael Tubridy on the flute and a rake of concertinaplayers, I heard some concertinaplayers exchange the following piece of wisdom

‘You shouldn’t make a mountain out of a Noel Hill’

Hi Peter!
Not quite sure of the context of this one, but hey:
“In Irish music there are the Hills, and then there are the Vallelys.”

BTW, If I got that right our brownja (John) will be hosting a house party with Noel Hill in Southern Connecticut in a few weeks. I will a be mountainous occasion, I am sure.
