Hi–I got the FOTR soundtrack the other day, and would like to learn Concerning Hobbits, but I am new to playing by ear and am having trouble getting started. Can anyone who knows this tune give me the notes for the first few bars? Tab or sheet music. Actually, the whole thing would be nice too, but I’m willing to just get started and wrestle with the rest.
And yes, I know it’s a recorder on the soundtrack, but it CAN be played on a whistle, surely? Thanks in advance!

I saw the sheet music for that tune (it’s actually not called “Concerning Hobbits,” by the way…“Concerning Hobbits” is just a fragment of a song, but unfortunately, I’ve forgotten the name), and I know it starts in D, but I believe it modulates in the turn.
The sheet music is available, if you need it. There’s a Lord of the Rings songbook out, and it’s the first song in it.
