Completely OT: Magical Pet

Anyone seen these before? called Magical Pet. You get to move this thing with your hands like a real animal..you do need some practice though. I got this for about $10, and I was surprised to find out there’s actually a high-class Pet which costs over $100 (for professional magicians or enthusiasts)!! :astonished: Anyway, this is a great toy for stage shows etc.

Hey, I saw one of those on TV a looong time ago, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. There was no word on where to get it and it was pre-internet days so I couldn’t search, but I don’t think I have the tenacity to learn to control it correctly anyway! I’m still struggling with harmonica, for crying out loud. :stuck_out_tongue:

I knew a guy that had a realistic stuffed toy rabbit that he could manipulate the head of using finger pressure on his neck. He use to bring it into restaurants and make the waitress think that he was feeding it at the table. When the waitress told him that he could not have a pet in the restaurant, he had several ways to respond that completed the joke.

Have seem something similar, but smaller and cheaper, along the lines of a fuzzy worm which my kid bought at the beach this summer–fun 'til it got left in his pants pocket and went in the washer.

My favorite thing of the sort are these super-cool bird/dragon things they sell at the Renaissance Faire which sit on your shoulder and are operated via a cable down your sleeve.
