Completely irresponsible but wonderfully mesmerizing

French filmmaker Claude Lelouch attached a camera to the front of a Ferrari 275 GTB V-12 and filmed a very famous formula-1 racecar driver (the racecar drivers name has still been anonymous) journeying through Paris, going well over 100 MPH.

he runs at least 5 red lights and almost takes out one pedestrian and several pigeons.

Sacre bleu Batman!

Yeah…what emm said :astonished:

Our boy’s very favorite X-box game is car racing in Paris, I can’t begin to tell you how many times they have tried to drive up the Louvre Pyramid, they’re going to love this!

Most Radical Car Movie of All Time

Lelouch confessed to being the driver: “Of course. People were exhilarated by the action but morally outraged by the method. I can’t say I blame them. It was my film, and I was fully prepared to take the risks.” He was also arrested for his exploits. “They took a look at the film, and the chief of police called me in;” Lelouch recounted. “He read me a list of all the offenses I’d committed. It was never-ending. When he finished, he gave me a black look and asked for my driver’s license. He contemplated it for a few moments, then gave it back with a large smile on his face. He said, “I promised I would take your license, but I didn’t say for how long.” I was stupefied. It was a symbolic punishment. Then he added, ‘My children love your little film.’”

That is messed up.

Things were a little different in '76.

If you’ve driven around Paris, you know that this is close to normal.

It reminds me of the Paris car chase scene in Ronin, best ever filmed, better than Bullitt IMO.

I wonder if that’s the truth, or if he’d promised another driver that he’d take the heat, if there was any?
