In the December issue of An Piobaire, on the sales pages there is a pipe case listed as being suitable for practice and compact half sets. What is a compact half set? is it like the one’s Jim Daily makes with only 1 drone?

Possibly. It could also mean you’ll have to pull the last segment off the bass drone if it’s a straight trumpet and not 180° resonator style. Are there inside dimensions listed?

yes there are measurements, the case I mentioned is 22x11.5 inches external, the other full size case is 35x12.5 inches external.

edit; could a compact 1/2 set be any set with a returned bass drone as opposed to a straight bass drone?
