These are fun…
As I mentioned on the Superpower thread-- this week I got a graphics
tablet and some drawing / painting software (came with the tablet). I’m
brand new to this.
I was never very interested in computer art before, because it seemed so
cold. All “click, click” rather than the feel of pencil on paper. But this is
different-- the graphics tablet and stylus really do give the feeling of a
pencil.
I got this image from Wiki commons
then I erased away the black background. I really love doing this part.
The drawing software lets me change the size of the eraser

so finally I’m scribbling in the last bits with an eraser that’s about one
pixel long!
There is probably a much faster and easier way of doing this (I’ve barely
started learning the software). But what I wanted to say is, if you’re a
touchy-feely type, playing with the images like this is a wonderful
experience. I feel like I’m 8 yrs old with a coloring book.
If you need a new hobby to waste time with, I highly recommend this one ![]()
