I want to start playing uilleann pipes! I would love to have a teacher but do not know if this would be possible. I live in the Denver, Colorado area and have not been able to find anyone on the internet who plays pipes and lives even a hour or two or away. Does anyone know a piper who lives in Colorado that might be able to give lessons, or at least a little advice?
Look up Eric Olsen down in Colorado Springs… barring that find any of the other pipers on the front range and they will prolly point you at Eric. He most likely got the rest of them going.
There is a Utah Pipers Club and I think some of the members were listed as living in Coloroado…
A visit with Dirk Mewes in Berthoud will get you started right.
