Clogging

Ok, this is my last post for today

I would like some tips on what can be done to reduce the problem of clogging in my Copeland Low D. Even when the “tube” is warmed up it looses much of it´s natural LOVELY sound very quickly when condensation builds up both in the windway (I think) and in the body of the whistle.

Sometime It takes less than a couple of minutes for the problem to pop up, which means it is hard to maintain the same sound along a tune.

Any input is welcome, thanks!

Clogging is discussed extensively on the Main Website (www.chiffandfipple.com) … go, read, be enlightened.

Wipe it regularly with a dryer sheet, and that should take care of the problem. And quit drink’in so much Guinness while you’re practicing. JP

Peter Pan?
Most people get in the habit of blowing sharply to clear clogging, but try sucking in sharply instead. You can do this in the middle of a tune. Actually, blowing ADDS moisture to the problem.

Thanks for the advices.

I use to blow, suck (??? eeh hrrm!) and shake out the condens build-up, but I was thinking there was a way to reduce the build up in the first place.

Will read the main page and see if I find something.
