Clarke

Is it true that the new Clarke low whistle is to be called the Mega-Meg?

Clarke is going to make low whistles? I ask because last I talked to them, they said they have absolutely no intention whatsoever to produce low whistles. Has this changed?

Clarke Tinwhistles are located in Five Oak Green, Kent.

The only possible name for a low D made by Clarke (Kent) is Superwhistle.

They had said they were working with Mr. Copeland on a Sweetone-type low whistle. Mr. Copeland also confirmed this.

Our humor is so missed understood around here

Wow, that sounds brillant. I look forward to this, did they put any kind of timeline to this? Thanks for letting me know!

I’m interested . . .

Please tell me they’re aren’t planning on putting Whistling Billy on the whistle (God rest his soul). And pleeeese keep it black or silver.

stay hoopy,
Mike

hmmm yeah!
but i believe they’ll make it as pro looking as possible considering that only adults will be using such whistle. i can’t imagine a child playing a low d… worse, i can’t imagine myself playing an overgrown colored sweetone!

btw, are they gonna make it like the original clarke whistle with a fipple block or with the plastic mouthpiece?

this i have to see it to believe i , this rumour has been going around for yearst------------i would hope to have it just like the original

sweetone is ugly plus it sounds terrible

So is there any kind of estimation on when this is suppose to happen? Weeks, months, years? Not trying to be pushy or anything, this just sounds interesting so I am of course naturally curious. :stuck_out_tongue:

this rumor has been here many times before

Here is one thread which proves it to be, or perhaps to have once been, more than rumor: http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?p=42135

With more recent developments at Copeland, perhaps the project has been abandoned. I do not know.
