Has anyone contacted this new maker to see what these prices are actually about? If youāre interested, that would seem to be the logical place to start. It doesnāt hurt to ask questions.

Actually there is a filter in Photoshop (Menu:Filter:Other: Domestic Discord) that can failry seemlessly take care of this.

I dunno - thereās āfairā pricing and then thereās āscaryā pricing. Does the phrase: āYou get what you pay for!ā hold true here? On first appearances anyway, Iām not overly impressed with the level of workmanship per se. I did notice that on one of the pages the chanter is listed as a āpractice chanterā. So either he doesnāt know a thing about uilleann piping in the first place, or ā¦uhh, well I donāt know what else it could be.
Many of these parts are being sold on ebay piece-meal as well instead of as complete sets. If any of you want/need a new windcap for example youāll find one there. I wonder if you can buy just the holes you needā¦like adding a Cnat or G#?

I have emailed him a few times before, and his response time is very fast, so I am sure he would reply to any questions promptly. I see he has taken the reed price off the site right now.
Canāt blame a guy trying to start out making pipes and asking a cheap price for them, I donāt think a new maker would get much sales if he was asking $1500 for a practice set, without first building his skills and rep up.
I am personally glad to see someone in my neck of the woods making them. I just purchased a new practice set, or I would try one of his chanters out. Right now my fiance doesnāt look as happy as his, so I better hold off for a couple of months anyhow, untill I can sneak another pipe in the house behind my back and she cools down from this purchase. 
His picture says it all. He hasnāt suffered enough to be a class 1 reed maker. Besides his hair hasnāt got bits of cane shavings stuck in it and where are the empties?

Heās taken the chanters off his list, not available. The bellows looks pretty good to tell the truth. I donāt know what he was thinking though with that rosemalling or whatever, and the chanter looked like it was made of phillipine mahogany or something, with the holes burned into it with a bad Pakistani bit that was sharpened last in 1947.

I hear ya Alan. I had emailed him with a heads up about this thread. He just said that if anyone had any legitimate questions about his website or products they can email him and he would gladly answer them.
I give him full credit for even trying to get started in the pipe making business, and even more credit for not even getting involved in this thread and staying professional.
Everyone has to start somewhere.
