Christmas carols on the pipes CD - It's finally been done!

Now don’t tell me you haven’t tried it at some point in the last week or two…You know what I’m talking about…Christmas carols on your pipes!!

Like you, I love the good old Chrissie carols and also love the pipes. I’ve seen a few different musicians perfoming outside a local shopping centre recently and thought that perhaps I should record some backing music from my keyboard and then go and play some carols on the pipes for the stressed-out shoppers to listen to. Before going to the effort of arranging, sequencing and recording some backing music, I thought I’d surf the net for some mp3’s in the correct pitch for me to play along with on my pipes and wound up stumbling on a CD called 'Cristmas in Ireland" featuring carols played by the renowned Eric Rigler. I’ve always joked to my wife about combing my love of Christmas carols and pipes and recording an album, but it is so funny that it has actually already been done. Good on ya Eric!

These recordings are many years old and can be found in the bins of cheap CD’s at places like “Media Play” in the US for 4-6 dollars. They are nicely played.
