Very sad to report that Celtic harp builder and player, highland piper and celtic flutist and good friend Chris Caswell of Caswell-Carnahan fame passed away yesterday, from aggressive late stage cancer. A benefit to cover his medical expenses etc. in support of his wife Roxanne is planned at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley on February 4th. Chris was a frequent instructor at Lark Camp, teaching both the harp and music theory in his “Guerilla Music Theory” classes. I’ll miss his great humor, wonderful music and gentle presence!
