Childress Chanter For Sale

Concert “D” Chanter for Sale

Made by Bruce Childress, this chanter is made of blackwood, has a brass top, with a Cnat key, Fnat key and chanter stop key. The tone holes have been scalloped. The current reed (not by Bruce) is a bit rough, but playable.

Bruce currently gets $770 for this chanter with the 3 keys and stop key - however - I will accept lower offers due to the reed condition.

I love my childress chanter  makes me all warm and fuzzy…

Just wondering who made that half set on the saltlakepipers pipes for sale page

RORY

What half set?
I didn’t see any sets in the ‘for sale’ section…?

Are you referring to the half set in the SLPC banner at the top left of the page? If so, it’s Seth Gallagher’s work. The set belongs to one of our members and is lovely to see and to play. Ebony and nickel silver.

Sorry BrianC I didn,t make my question very clear but Brian Lee is right .The set just caught my eye when i opened the page
thanks

RORY

Rory,

The mistake is mine. The half set you speak of is right there on the page, plain as day.

Oh - back to the topic at hand:

The Childress chanter has been sold.

Thanks again to “Brian Lee” for the advertisement on the SLC Pipers’ site, and of course thanks kindly to the gentleman who purchased the chanter… I know you’ll enjoy it, Mike. Thanks also to those that expressed interest.
