The painterly girl is thinking: “ooohh Kid on a Mountain gets me so hyperventilated! Specially on a Clarke original! it makes my legs feel so looonnngg! And all the colors got kinda red and blotchy!!”
The weekend sailor guy is thinking: “Damn, don’t this chick know any hornpipes! I’ll just leap outa this hatchway and remind her about all that before the oxygen wears off and I revert from pugwash back to Diver-Dan! - AAArrrrrr! (wot happened to the resta my boat!!! - Where’s my hose-pipe - damn you cap’n barracuda!! - Gasp!! if’n only i’d started out on a Clarke!! Where’s me 10-fathom snorkel - gotta … get … thru … th … next … Baaarrrrr!! AAAArrrrr!!!)”
That’s the thing I like about the internet…distance. My brothers used to deck me for such atrocious puns. All a port of growin up, I suppose. I used to resent them, but as I’ve grown, I’ve learned to sea things a bit differently and have waved goodbye to such stern grudges.
