Chiff and Fipple and Panera

So I’m sitting in a Panera, which used to be St. Louis Bread Company, which is a great place to eat, and I;m trying to kill some time on my laptop. I checked out CNN.SI to check out the baseball scores. I went to a story on famous homeruns. Access Denied. I went to CNN for news. Access denied. So I figure, I’ll try somepace safe. I open up C&F, and glance at the whistle forums. No problem. Then I go to the Pub. Access Denied.

Only one conclusion: You people are potty mouths.

Actually the conclusion is, Panera sucks.

I heard that it even blocks words like “suck” and “blow,” which can have sexual connotations or musical connotations or other connotations entirely.

Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind
by William Shakespeare.

Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man’s ingratitude;
Thy tooth is not so keen
Because thou art not seen,
Although thy breath be rude.
Heigh-ho! sing heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho! the holly!
This life is most jolly.

Freeze, freeze, thou bitter sky,
Thou dost not bite so nigh
As benefits forgot:
Though thou the waters warp,
Thy sting is not so sharp
As friend remember’d not.
Heigh-ho! sing heigh-ho! unto the green holly:
Most friendship is feigning, most loving mere folly:
Then, heigh-ho! the holly!

Where the bee sucks, there suck I
In a cowslip’s bell I lie;
There I couch when owls do cry.
On the bat’s back I do fly
After summer merrily:
Merrily, merrily shall I live now
Under the blossom that hangs on the bough.
“The Tempest” (5.1.97-103)

Pure filth.

Slan,
D. :wink:

This is why I cannot surf C&F at Panera. Thanks a lot. :slight_smile:

That filthy Bill Shakespeare. What’ll we ever do with him?

So, what’s Panera? A Puritan bakery??
