I just searched half.com for dvd’s and the chieftains and it gave me back something like 5 or 6 chieftains dvds. Which would you reccommend and what was the name of the one that was just recently released?
Water from the well is a fairly recent one. I like the tunes, but it just proves the Chieftains should not sing. (About 3 tunes they have singers…

the only singers, besides Kevin, that they have are guests, not themselves. one of them includes Van Morrison, and if you think he can’t sing, well, yeah.
I stayed up very late the other night to see the Chieftons perform. Wish I’d known they were appearing with Earl Skruggs…what a disappointment. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen any group work so diligently to get away from dancing with the girl that brung 'em.
I wholeheartedly agree with U2. That’s why, anymore, I have “cautious” enthusiasm when I hear of a new release by them.
