I have a very slightly used CHIEFTAIN Low G for sale. Like new, lucky if it has 1 hour playing time on it. If you are looking for a mid-level low whistle, this is your ticket. Wife says “It’s me or that whistle!” and I can’t cook, so the whistle has to go. It is on eBay, to give everyone a fair crack at it. The link is:
Patrick, for someone who ran a tinwhistle website and was in contact with us I would then imagine there should be no confusion about which brand of whistle you are selling on ebay.
Guys, look, I made a mistake. I was tired when I made the post to ebay and here. I corrected both mistakes. Can we just let this go? I wasn’t being malicious.
Nobody thinks you were trying to be malicious, but the makers of Overtons and the designers of Chieftains are not on good terms. This is the kind of mistake to be avoided.
Seriously, since this thread continues, it would be nice of you to edit your first post and change the title, so it doesn’t say Overton. Chieftains should not have Overton press. If you care to read about the history, it is available in the high end whistles section of the main Chiff and Fipple website.
Good advice. But I’m sure that Colin & Phil havn’t got daggers drawn waiting to stab each other in the back either  Lots O folk on this board are not on good terms also
Well, I have a high end noseflute prototype that I might
sell, if you’all are nice to me. Grenadilla
with a raised silver noseplate. Perhaps you
remember the plastic noseflute, sometimes
called the Humanatone (always liked thaty
name). Several makers
are working on new designs, and of better
stuff.
When I was a boy I played guitar and noseflute
duets by fastening the noseflute to my face
by a rubber band around my head. You can’t do that with
a whistle, can you? The pain was excrutiating,
until my nose would get numb. But geez I
could make that sucka wail! The new improved nosefultes
sound still better, but duets are no longer practical,
cause I can’t reach the keys.
As mentioned I may sell the prototype,
if you play your cards right. Best
