Add “Hands Up” to the list of annoying wedding songs. Does anyone really request these tunes, or are they an inside joke with the wedding band/DJ crowd? They are starting to do this with Neil Diamond somgs too.

BTW, did you know that if you regularly get songs stuck in your head it was probably because there was plenty of empty space for them to fill? 
The Chicken Dance is the most requested individual piece of recorded music in our library system. We have fifteen copies of it and it is wedding time in Ontario, at times we have put a five day limit on those copies, the demand is so high.

First off - Cincinnati HOLDS the record for the LARGEST, Kazoo playing Chicken Dance, I’ll have you know!!! (During Oktoberfest - beer does strange things to people). Weird Al was the “conductor”!
Second - I tend to avoid receptions mainly because of:

Electric Slide
Aicky Breaky Heart
Macharena
and the absolute WORST of all:
YMCA!!!
I think more people ought to take up the accordion…they’d appreciate these songs a little more. There’s nothing like strapping on a 25 lb. instrument and squeezing and pulling and trying to play a tiny keyboard with one hand and a bunch of little buttons with the other. It’ll surely throw your back out!
