Wait until you hear Hidi sing. I did not think that Joanie would be able to replace Deirdre Connolly but Hidi cerainly is even better if that is possible.
The Chiristmas CD is Great.
After the show, please tell Mary C. that Jim and Donna said “Hi”, and we’ll try to see them when they come to Tulsa in January. She probably won’t know who on Earth you’re talking about at first, but then she’ll wake up about 3 A.M., slap her forehead, and say, “Oh, them!” ![]()
Chuck are you going to update the subject line as the hour draws nigh? ![]()

Mary C occasionally reads these boards I know Joanie reads them though once in a while also.

I’m hoping I can get close enough for an autograph. This auditorium is the most patron-unfriendly place you can imagine. Other than sponsor/donor receptions, public contact with the performers is pretty much limited to a pre-show lecture or pre-show Q&A.
Cherish always make a point of coming out and chatting with their audience as they leave the concert. I don’t you’ll have any trouble chatting/getting an autograph at all… I mean, it’s not like we’re talking about Michael Flatley here ![]()

You should have not trouble. Joanie is a business person and makes sure that the Cd’s are available for sale and she will get out there and autograph, She also makes sure the group get out there also.
Joanie Madden is a take charge person. I had the opportunity to see her at a benefit recently. She was on stage and organized a group of about 20 stand in musicians (Fiddles, Accordions, Drum, Whistles, Guitar. She took charge and had them working as a group. So besides being at talented multi instrument performer she also had the business sense to make each performance work and leaving the audience willing to come back for more. She also has a keen eye for new talent which is why this group has been a success for the past 16 years.
My hat is off to her.
I hope you’re right. I’ve seen them twice now at this auditorium and they were not avilable to meet fans or sign autographs at either, though there was someone selling CDs.
They did come out over in Decatur, but that’s a much smaller auditorium.

I have seen them twice - both at college auditoriums. Both times they came out after the show, and AFAIK stayed until everyone was gone. Apparently, different venues have different rules governing the social behavior of both performers and fans. If I see a show anywhere that the performers (especially independent ones) can’t meet the fans, it is likely that I will not go back to that venue for another show (theater owners, listen up)!
Slainte,
Jim

If you think that they will not permit you to meet the artist and if you are close enough for them to hear you on stage call out to Joanie. (she is used to it)and tell her you want an Autograph she will make it happen.
