Cherish the Ladies coming to Madison, AL Dec 5!!!

I’m part of the North Alabama Irish Association (NAIA) and we’re thrilled to be bringing Cherish the Ladies to the Bob Jones High School Concert Hall in Madison on Sunday, December 5, 7-9pm.

I’d been in touch on occasion with Joanie Madden over the years and just for the heck of it decided to see if CTL would be interested in performing here sometime. Not expecting to hear back anytime soon, I contacted Joanie and to my surprise, received a reply within 1/2 hr. AND…she said it just happened that CTL will be in Jackson, TN on Dec 4 and because of a cancellation, they’d be available Dec 5…and looking for a place to play in the area.

So the collective NAIA wheels began rolling and, CTL fans, they’ll be here. :boggle: So if you’re in the area, please get your tickets now and enjoy this amazing show. Tickets can be purchased Online

We hope you can make it too. Joanie mentioned the possibility of my band, Kinvara, opening for them but not sure yet. That’d be too cool.

We just got this put together and will start advertising heavily in the next few days, so be sure to get your tickets asap.

Not yet. I still haven’t determined if I’ll be in town, but I plan on dragging the wife to this if we are. Otherwise, hope to catch you at an upcoming performance at Kenny Mango’s. It’s nice that my little boy can come along and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate with the music.

Bummed that I had to miss it. I actually drove by BJHS about 6:45pm, but I was in mud covered clothes and on a dinner run for the family. For a split second I pondered going on in, but that would not have gone over well on the home front. I bet it was a great show!

It was better than great. It was amazing and magical. Sorry you missed it. These are all truly phenomenal musicians. The band brought me up to play guitar on the last set of four tunes and what an experience! I was sitting close to Kathleen Boyle (what a sweetheart), who’d whisper chords to the next tune. Got to take the final bow with them to a standing ovation…Kathleen holding my left hand and Mirella Murray holding my right. A moment I’ll never forget. All the ladies are wonderful and we had a great time with them. Joanie’s whistle playing is flawless and full of emotion. I’ve heard many pro players live but this is the first time I’d heard Joanie and she’s hands down the best I’ve heard. There’s something very, very special about her playing. And what a delightfully fun, crazy lady. :smiley:
