I received a letter this morning from Charles regarding the progress of the regulators I ordered last January and he asked if I would post a short announcement for him.

“Charles Roberts has not done a runner. I am now working from my workshop here in Spain which I have had for a number of years. All customers have been or are being contacted. My address and phone number here are already posted. I will be answering certain allegations in next note.”

I was pleased to get his letter and am now quite comfortable with the situation.

I note that items like the one above don’t get much attention or comment but the ones that call into question a maker’s credentials, service, etc., certainly do.

O K and fair play to him for now contacting his customers ,but it would have been nice of him to do that before he went to Spain

it sounds like he goes to spain fairly regularly… so maybe he just didn’t think it would be a big deal?

Well, yes, it’s a reassurance, not a result. A result would be the set of pipes appearing on your doorstep in the post, for instance, and might warrant a lot of attention, given the similar attention given to them not appearing on the doorstep after great lengths of time.

So, I agree, notices like this receive only a small portion of the attention given to one that actually amounts to anything concrete.

Come on guys, please remember Charles is a “elderly chap” moving from
Ireland to spain and setting up the workshop takes time thats apart from moving all furniture and personal items, and don’t forget all other matters like the house sale and personal accounts, Im sure all of his customers
will get there goods and problems sorted once Charles has settled in
to his new home and things are up and running. all the best Stew.
