You’re right. I wasn’t nice with a new forum member. Perhaps it has something to do with the poor English skills combined with a suggested price for a completely unknown chanter. My apologies. Hopefully someone can identify this curious chanter. Hopefully you will also realize that “paki” and calling something “pakishit” is likely much more insulting than my suggesting (humorously and not at all seriously) that the reason you weren’t posting the picture was because it was a Pakistani piece.

Maybe John Pedersen? I’ve a set of drones and they have hills and valleys turned into the brass like that. Are the mounts Corian? Mineral stuff used for countertops, fragile.
I don’t think John stamps his stuff.

Materials are brass, african blackwood and imtation of ivory…
I bought it to a french guy that I met during a tionol and he may told me the name of the pipemaker but I don’t remember because personaly I don’t attach importance of this fact. What’s important for me is the quality of the sound that I can hear… I don’t have contacts of this person but I will search to ask him who is the maker. It seems to be important for many of you.
I made the reed. The chanter is probably between 5 and 10 years old (second hand practice set).
The sound is powerful.
Some of you asked me why I sell a chanter with a sound like that?
I sell it because I now play with a flat set (prefer the sweet sound) and I rarely use the concert pitch chanter.

My guess would be Alan Ginsberg.
…judging by the work on the ‘ivory’, I would ventue a guess that it is not a Ginsberg…of course, having stated that, it will most probably be an Alan Ginsberg chanter…uh…never mind…my odds haven’t been really good as of late.
looks like a Wilkinson/ McCarthy to me, more famous for thier furniture making than pipe making.
