My fiance (who is a seamstress in hobby) has made some beautiful bags (mainly velvet) with detailed seams, zippers, tassles, embroidery and re-enforced velvet. She also makes matching chanter bags for when you are travelling.
Anyone interested? Probably $100 for a bag and $20 for a matching chanter bag. We would need very precise measurements of your bag. I imagine you could choose the materials.
